Identivox: a Pc-windows Tool for Text-independent Speaker Recognition in Forensic Environments
نویسندگان
چکیده
A state-of-the-art Gaussian-Mixture-Modelling (GMM) text-independent speaker recognition system has been developed. The system, perfectly suited to the Bayesian approach for Forensic Speaker Recognition, works in a user-friendly platform (Win95/98/NT/2000/me) in a fully user-configurable environment. Speaker modelling, identification and verification are the main functions of the system. The system optionally performs channel normalisation and/or likelihood normalisation, the latter through a Universal Background Model. The work of the system user is organised in sessions (files), where the user can configure, save, open, and print reports for each individual session. User-selected speech audio files, parameterised into LPCC or MFCC, are used to train the speaker models, and test speech segments are evaluated against the selected set of candidates (identification) or against a claimed model (verification). Some excellent results are provided with different speech databases. A free English-demo version for evaluation of the system is available to forensic and research institutes writing to [email protected].

Combining Automatic and Phonetic-Acoustic Speaker Recognition Techniques for Forensic Applications
The central argument of the present study is that the performance of modern forensic speaker recognition can be improved by combining the strongholds of two entirely different approaches, that is: the classical acousticphonetic method and a potent automatic total-voice system such as IdentiVox. Since both make use of different and statistically independent sets of features of the phonetic and l...
متن کاملOn the Application of the Bayesian Framework to Real Forensic Conditions with GMM-based Systems
In this paper, excellent results are provided in the calculation of likelihood-ratios in real forensic conditions within the bayesian framework for the evaluation of speech evidences with a GMM-based speaker recognition system. Reported experiments have been performed with speakers from the Ahumada/Gaudí database, where 249 (122 male and 127 female) acted as reference population for the evaluat...
متن کاملStatistical methods and Bayesian interpretation of evidence in forensic automatic speaker recognition
The goal of this paper is to establish a robust methodology for forensic automatic speaker recognition (FASR) based on sound statistical and probabilistic methods, and validated using databases recorded in real-life conditions. The interpretation of recorded speech as evidence in the forensic context presents particular challenges. The means proposed for dealing with them is through Bayesian in...
متن کاملEvaluation of a small-footprint text and language independent speaker recognition system on forensic data
In this paper we evaluate on a forensic task our text and language independent speaker recognition system, characterized by modest memory requirements and robustness to environment noise. Noise robustness is achieved by employing a Kalman filter-based sequential interacting multiple models (SIMM) algorithm. The evaluation data was provided by the Netherlands Forensic Institute (NFI) and consist...
متن کاملText-Available Speaker Recognition System for Forensic Applications
This paper examines a text-available speaker recognition approach targeting scenarios where the transcripts of test utterances are either available or obtainable through manual transcription. Forensic speaker recognition is one of such applications where the human supervision can be expected. In our study, we extend an existing Deep Neural Network (DNN) ivector-based speaker recognition system ...
